    Our Policies

    For Peace of Mind

Welcome to our Policies Page. Here we outline important guidelines to ensure the safety, well-being, and smooth operation of The Barkyard. From health and behavioral requirements to booking procedures and agreements, we planned out these Policies to create a positive experience for every furry friend in our care.

    For Pets

    Dogs must:

    • be up-to-date on vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella. Vaccines should be administered 2-7 days prior to their stay and The Barkyard.
    • be neutered or spayed depending on their reproductive development.
    • exhibit friendly and non-aggressive behavior towards other dogs and staff – aggression, excessive barking, or destructive behavior is not permissable.
    • pass a nose-to-tail assessment by our staff. Any sign of communicable pest(s) or disease must be resolved prior to the dog’s stay. This includes: fleas, ticks, mange, kennel cough, etc.
    • bring their own food; especially those with dietary restrictions. The Barkyard will provide food for a small fee.

    For Pet Parents

    Pet Parents agree to:

    • schedule and attend a Meet & Greet prior to their dog’s stay at The Barkyard.
    • provide emergency contact and veterinarian information.
    • be available at all times to be contacted by The Barkyard in case of an emergency.
    • communicate any pertinent information about their dog’s health, behavior, or special needs so The Barkyard may provide adequate care.
    • reserve their pet’s stay in advance and adhere to the drop-off/pick-up times.
      • Daycare and Boarding Drop-off: Monday through Saturday 7AM-9AM.
      • Daycare pick-up: Monday through Saturday 4PM-6PM.
      • Boarding pick-up is available on Sunday with prior communication with The Barkyard team.
      • Any late drop-off or pick-up will activate a late-fee for your pet(s) reservation.
    • provide payment in advance or upon arrival. We accept cash and credit/debit. No checks.
    • label pet’s belongings such as food, toys, or bedding.
    • provide feedback and expressing any concerns they may have about their dog’s experience at The Barkyard. We want your experience to be exceptional as well!
